School-specific context
Thornlea Secondary School is a Grade 9 to 12 school on Bayview Avenue in the Markham portion of Thornhill. The school opened in 1968. YRDSB’s current program table lists French Immersion and Advanced Placement; families should verify the program-specific attendance and admission requirements.
Thornhill geography
This campus is in Markham. Thornhill extends into Vaughan as well, so a Thornhill mailing address alone is not enough to determine a school assignment.
BEFORE YOU CHOOSE A HOME
Check the address.
Confirm the program.
A nearby home or a shared municipality does not guarantee a place. Ask the board about attendance boundaries and the school about any separate entry requirements.
Considering a home in Markham?
Explore the municipality once you have checked the school’s entry rules. These searches do not establish distance, school boundaries, transportation or admission.
